Canesten Oral Capsule is a single dose treatment for vaginal thrush. It is made by Canestan the most well known brand for the treatment of Thrush. Canesten Oral capsuals contians an active ingredient that is an antifungal medicine used to treat fungi and yeasts infections. It is an effective treatment for vaginal thrush and can also be used to treat penile thrush . Thrush is usually caused by the Candida species of fungi, in particular Candida albicans. The antifungal kills the Candida fungi. It does this by interfering with the cell membranes of the fungi. This kills the fungi and treats the Thrush infection.
