Liquitex : Acrylic Additive : Crackle Paste : 237ml

Liquitex Crackle Paste is a thick medium designed to create a crazed cracked finish on rigid surfaces that are suitable for acrylic paint. It dries to a hard opaque finish that has a structurally stable crackle effect that is durable and archival quality. This medium can be used on its own and painted over once dry, or can be mixed with your paint. To use apply directly from the tub with a knife and overpaint, or mix with acrylic colour (use no more than 15% paint to 85% medium) and apply to your surface. If you are overpainting leave the medium to dry for at least 24 hours. Cracking will vary depending on how thickly you apply it �� the effects will be more obvious with thicker applications, but will take longer to dry. A thickness of 5-10mm is recommended. If you are using on wood seal the surface with a base layer of fluid or gel medium and let it fully dry. The surface must be rigid, and the medium must not be diluted with water.
