Liquitex Satin Gel Medium gives your acrylic paint a satin sheen to its finish, whilst slowing drying time, increasing the volume and the brightness. This can be used to increase the viscosity of soft acrylic paints, and maintains the viscosity of heavy body acrylics. It is suitable for various techniques such as impasto, glazing, photo transfers and collage. If you use it for collage, decoupage or the fixing of mixed media it can be used straight from the pot as a strong transparent glue. To use simply mix as much medium as you like with your acrylic paint until you get the viscosity and transparency you want �� the more you add the more transparent your colour will become. You can dilute up to 25% with water (distilled water will give the best results). The medium is semi-opaque when wet, but clear when dry �� if it is used very thickly it may dry semi opaque.
