Which aisles to hit first: Bakery (back left), fresh meat/fish (back right), ready meals (chiller aisle).

Don't spend Clubcard vouchers in Tesco. Convert them to Reward Partner vouchers for double or triple the value.

Tesco has three own-brand tiers:
- Tesco Everyday Value: Cheapest, quality is hit-or-miss. Good for basics (pasta, rice, tinned tomatoes).
- Tesco (standard): Solid quality, beats most branded equivalents.
- Tesco Finest: Premium range, often better than branded "premium" stuff. Worth it for treats.
What to buy Everyday Value: pasta, rice, flour, tinned beans, kitchen roll.
What to avoid Everyday Value: bin bags (they rip), toilet roll (1-ply nightmare), cheese (tastes like plastic).
5. Price Match with Aldi (Aldi Price Match Range)
Tesco price-matches 650+ Aldi products. Look for the "Aldi Price Match" label on shelves. Same product, same price, but you don't have to go to Aldi.
6. Use the Tesco App to Scan While You Shop
Download the Tesco app, use "Scan as you Shop." You scan items as you add them to your basket, then pay at a self-checkout in 10 seconds.
Benefits:
- No queuing
- You see the running total (avoid overspending)
- You can remove items before checkout if you're over budget
Random checks happen occasionally (staff scan your basket), but it's rare.
7. Clubcard Challenges: Free Points
The Tesco app gives you personalised "Clubcard Challenges" each month. Example: "Spend £40 on groceries this month, get 200 bonus points."
You're probably already hitting these targets. Check the app, activate the challenges, get free points.
8. Delivery Saver: Is It Worth It?
£7.99/month for unlimited deliveries (or £95/year = £7.91/month).
Math: Single delivery slot costs £2-7 depending on time. If you order groceries more than twice a month, Delivery Saver pays for itself.
Hack: Share it. Delivery Saver works per address, not per person. Split the cost with flatmates or family.
9. Click + Collect: Free and Faster
Order online, pick up from store. It's free (no delivery fee), you skip the queues, and you still earn Clubcard points.
Minimum spend: £25.
10. Tesco Bank Credit Card (Extra Clubcard Points)
Tesco credit card gives you 1 Clubcard point per £4 spent at Tesco (instead of £1), plus 1 point per £8 spent elsewhere.
Only worth it if: You pay off the balance every month. Interest rates are brutal if you don't.

- Buy Meal Deals: £3.60 (sandwich + drink + snack) vs £6+ if bought separately.
- Check use-by dates when buying multiples: Longer dates = more time to use before it spoils.
