Currys voucher codes are rare, but when they drop, they're worth it. Here's how to find them, what they usually offer, and how to stack them with price matching.
What Currys Codes Usually Offer
- 10% off selected categories (TVs, laptops, gaming)
- £20-£50 off when you spend £200+
- Free delivery (saves £4.99-£9.99)
- Extra trade-in credit (£50-£100 bonus on phone/laptop trade-ins)
They don't do site-wide 20% off codes like ASOS. Currys codes are strategic and category-specific.
Where to Find Currys Codes
Email Newsletters
Sign up for Currys emails. They send exclusive codes to subscribers, especially around:
- Black Friday / Cyber Monday
- New product launches (iPhone, PS5, etc.)
- Seasonal sales (January, summer)
Student Discount
10% off selected tech via Student Beans or UNiDAYS. Works on laptops, tablets, monitors (not all brands - Apple usually excluded).
Currys VIP Programme
Sign up for Currys VIP (free). You get:
- Early access to sales
- Exclusive vouchers
- Extended warranties on some purchases
Check your VIP account before buying - personalised codes appear there.
Price Match: Better Than a Code
Currys price-matches Amazon, John Lewis, AO.com, and others. They'll match the price plus beat it by 10% of the difference.
Example: Laptop is £500 at Currys, £450 at Amazon. Show proof. Currys matches £450, then gives you an extra £5 off (10% of £50 difference) = £445 final price.
How to do it:
- Find the item cheaper elsewhere (screenshot the price)
- In-store: show staff before paying
- Online: contact live chat, send screenshot
Price match then apply a voucher code if you have one. Double stack.
Trade-In Boosts
Currys runs promotions where they boost trade-in values:
- £100 extra when you trade in a phone (on top of the usual valuation)
- £150 bonus on laptop trade-ins when buying a new one
These are time-limited. Check CodeLand Currys page for active boosts.
Free Delivery Codes
Standard delivery is £4.99-£9.99 depending on item size. Free delivery codes appear monthly.
Hack: Use "Reserve & Collect" instead. Free, next-day pickup from your local store, and you can check the item before taking it home.
Black Friday: The Best Time for Currys Codes
Black Friday (last Friday in November) is when Currys drops the biggest codes:
- 15-20% off TVs
- £100-£200 off laptops
- Bundle deals (laptop + mouse + bag for one price)
Sign up for emails in October. They send early access codes before Black Friday.
Clearance Section: No Code Needed
Every Currys store has a clearance section (returned items, open-box, display models). Discounts of 20-40% off.
In-store only. Ask staff to check what's in clearance - not all items have floor tags.
Cashback: Always Use It
Click through cashback">TopCashback or Quidco before ordering online. Currys offers 1-3% cashback (sometimes boosted to 5%).
Stack: Price match + voucher code + cashback = maximum savings.
Credit Card Offers
Amex often runs "Spend £200 at Currys, get £20 back" offers. Check your Amex app under "Offers."
This stacks with codes and cashback. You're triple-dipping.
0% Finance: Use It Carefully
Currys offers 0% finance on big purchases (12-36 months). If you're buying a £1,000 laptop, spreading it at £28/month with no interest is fine.
But: Miss a payment and they backdate interest on the full amount. Set up direct debit and budget properly.
Extended Warranty: Skip It
Currys pushes their "Care Plan" hard. It's overpriced. Most items have:
- Manufacturer's warranty (1-2 years)
- Credit card purchase protection (if you pay with a credit card)
- Home insurance (covers accidental damage)
Only consider extended warranty for things you'll genuinely break (e.g., laptop for a clumsy teenager).
