How to Stack Boots Advantage Card Points with Discount Codes

Boots Advantage Card points are worth 4p per £1 spent. That's already decent (4% back), but when you stack it with vouchers and promotions, you can hit 20-30% back. Here's the system.

How Advantage Card Points Work

For every £1 you spend at Boots, you get 4 points. 100 points = £1 voucher.

The math: Spend £25, get 100 points = £1 back. That's 4% cashback, no strings attached.

Where You Earn Points

  • In-store purchases
  • Online at boots.com
  • Boots Opticians
  • Prescription purchases (NHS and private)

Where You Can't Earn Points

  • Gift cards
  • Baby formula
  • Lottery tickets
  • Some third-party concessions

The Multiplier Events (This Is Where It Gets Good)

Boots runs regular promotions where you earn 10x or 15x points on specific brands or categories. That turns 4% cashback into 40% or 60%.

How to Find Them

  • Check the Boots app - promotions are listed on the homepage
  • Sign up for emails - they send targeted offers
  • Look for shelf tags in-store - they'll say "10x points"

Example

Spend £20 on No7 skincare during a 10x points event:

  • Normal points: 80 points (£0.80)
  • With 10x: 800 points (£8.00)

You just got 40% back. Stack this with a discount code, and you're paying 50-60% less than retail.

Stacking Discount Codes with Points

Boots regularly sends out discount codes (£5 off £30, 20% off skincare, etc.). You can use these and still earn points.

The Full Stack

  1. Wait for a 10x points event on something you need
  2. Find a working Boots discount code on CodeLand Boots page
  3. Click through TopCashback or Quidco (2-4% cashback on Boots)
  4. Apply code at checkout
  5. Earn 10x points on the discounted price

Real example:

  • £50 No7 skincare - 10x points event
  • Apply 20% off code = £40
  • Earn 10x points on £40 = 1,600 points (£16 back)
  • Plus 3% cashback via Quidco = £1.20

Total paid: £40. Total back: £17.20. Net cost: £22.80 (54% off retail).

The Tuesday Advantage Card Bonus

On Tuesdays, Advantage Card holders get exclusive discounts (varies weekly). Check the app on Tuesday morning - it'll show "Tuesday Treats."

These stack with points. So if Tuesday Treats gives 25% off fragrance, and there's also a 10x points event, you're stacking both.

Collect Points Faster with Boots Parenting Club

If you have a kid under 3, join the Boots Parenting Club (free). You get:

  • 10 points per £1 on baby products (instead of 4)
  • Exclusive baby product discounts
  • Free samples and vouchers

Buying nappies, formula, or baby toiletries? This is a no-brainer.

Advantage Card Treats: Hidden Vouchers

Boots sends personalised vouchers to your Advantage Card based on what you buy. These show up in:

  • The Boots app (check "My Offers")
  • Email (if you're subscribed)
  • Printed receipts

Example: £5 off when you spend £20 on a category you shop regularly. These are targeted, so everyone gets different offers.

Redeeming Points: When and How

You can redeem points at checkout once you have 500 points (£5). But here's the trick:

Don't redeem during points multiplier events. Save your vouchers for when points are normal (4x). Use your cash during multiplier events to maximize earning.

Double-Dipping Strategy

  1. Earn 10x points during a promotion
  2. Redeem points vouchers when there's no promotion
  3. Repeat

Prescriptions: Free Points

Every NHS prescription earns you 4 points. If you're on multiple prescriptions monthly, that's 100+ points (£1+) for something you're already paying £9.90 for.

If you have a Prescription Prepayment Certificate (PPC), you still earn points on every collection.

The App: Use It

The Boots app lets you:

  • Scan your Advantage Card (no need for the physical card)
  • See live points balance
  • Activate exclusive offers
  • Order prescriptions for collection
  • Check in-store stock before visiting

Gifting Points: Share the Wealth

You can't transfer points between cards, but you can pay for someone else's purchase with your card and they get the product, you get the points.

Boots Advantage Card Credit Card (Advanced)

There's a Boots credit card that gives you extra points:

  • 10 points per £1 at Boots (instead of 4)
  • 1 point per £1 elsewhere

If you shop at Boots a lot, this is worth it. But only if you pay off the balance every month - the interest rate is brutal (29.9% APR).

Student Discount Stacks Too

Boots offers 10% student discount via Student Beans or UNiDAYS. This stacks with points, multiplier events, and vouchers.

The full ridiculous stack: Student discount + 10x points + voucher + cashback = 60-70% off.

When NOT to Use Points

Don't waste points on:

  • Items already heavily discounted (better to earn points on full-price)
  • Gift cards (you don't earn points on gift card purchases)
  • During 10x events (use cash, earn massive points instead)
